Minecraft Legends fails to pick up the connected Xbox controller. Keyboard and mouse works, but controller does not
Tested with Xbox Elite controller and regular Xbox one controller. Both are de
cected because the Windows Game Bar works and I validated that the controller works in other games (Halo Infinite). Tested with one controller connected at a time. I am also running into this issue. My team was hoping to use Minecraft as a teambuilding exercise, but this issue is preventing some members from being able to participate fully.
Replicated on Windows 10 21H2, Minecraft 1.19.3
The menus all seem to be fine, but game play is unplayable.

Adding additional information in case anyone else sees this issue
I was able to isolate the problem to being with the keypad (Razer Tartarus). It seems that the keypad was also being detected as a keyboard which resulted in the Xbox controller not getting detected by Minecraft Legends. I'm not sure why Minecraft Legends was the only game that I tried to have difficulty with this configuration
Solution: Unplug keypad
