MCL-9901When I clicked my Minecraft Icon, the program began auto-updating. Then, once it was done, I was no longer signed in. So, if I didn't want it to update, I couldn't have done anything about it - rape is wrong, so "update rape" must also be wrong. It's the notion of forcing yourself on others - this update forced itself upon my computer.
Furthermore, it signed me out, as a test to see if I could sign back in. No - I never agreed to that. That's insulting, it's potentially harassment. Maybe I forgot my password. Now I have to remember whatever freaking email address I used - one year short of a decade ago – when I bought the game.
If it's going to log me out, let me choose to continue or not.
Sure, you wanna cut down on piracy, but realistically, I pirated this game and bought it afterwards. The only people I know who didn't pirate the game, were children who were also playing on a console. If I forget my password, I'm pirating the game...if you can even pirate something that is yours.
P.S.
I actually think the launcher should have a Continue or Not prompt, saying the game is set to auto-update, but that you haven't updated it in a year, or some amount of time, preferably one I, the user, choose, and asks if you want to proceed with the autoupdate (and maybe an option to ignore that message from that point forward – if i click that, do whatever, log me out, get my consent for shit now and do act on it) and that it's only asking because it's been so long, or if you want to cancel the auto-update and just hop into the game.

Yes, my account was actually hijacked, so I did need to reset my password.
So yeah, this is probably invalid, as marked.
To note, I never received an email telling me my password was updated, as some things do. If the system in place now would have done that, I would have known immediately. My account also had a free Windows 10 key the hijacker presumably got to keep for free, though support did give me another key to redeem without hassle, I could have reclaimed my account before someone got a free copy of the Windows 10 version. And overall it was quite a hassle to figure out, support didn't seem to care too much to try and actually help me, I felt like I was harassing them, until I figured out what happened and realized the agent I that was assigned to my ticket just, sucked.
My password was leaked in a data breach from a company. Someone actually emailed the password to me in a generic scam. Having received any emails related to my account would have immediately told me something was up, and with knowing one of my passwords was leaked I would have instantly known exactly what was going on.
You really should receive emails when your password changes, and maybe other stuff like your name. Or if it does, Idk what happened so that I never saw it.
