since the last update for the beta there have been several blocks that have stopped emitting light
. The ones I have noticed up to this pointare:
glowstone, redstone lamp, sea pickle (all 4 intensities), lava source blocks, flowing lava
Blocks that I have confirmed emit light as expected are torches, soul torches, redstone torches, lanterns, and soul lanterns.I cannot clearly discern if redstone dust, redstone repeaters, or redstone comparators emit light as expected or not.
blocks that are currently untested by me includecampfires, soul campfires, cauldrons filled with lava, sea lanterns, and any otherlight emitting blocks currently unlisted. I will update this list as I test varying blockssince the last update for the beta there have been several blocks that have stopped emitting light (most actually). I have tested every light source block that I could (could not figure out how to get end gateway without going through trouble of killing ender dragon) and only 6 of the blocks produced light. these blocks are:
torch, soul torch, redstone torch, lantern, soul lantern, end rod.
all other light emitting blocks did not produce light. these include:
glowstone, redstone lamp, sea lantern, sea pickle (all 4 intensities), shroomlight, lava source blocks, flowing lava, campfire, soul campfire, beacon, fire, soul fire, cauldron containing lava, conduit, jack o lantern, respawn anchor (any charge), blast furnace when lit, furnace when lit, smoker when lit, enchanting table, crying obsidian, redstone ore when touched, ender chest, blue ice, magma block, brewing stand, brown mushroom, nether portal block, end portal block, end portal frame, dragon egg.

when moving bubble columns with structure blocks, the water source blocks in the bubble column in specific break, the only way i have been able to fix it is to fill in the places that the water is supposed to be and replacing the water source blocks.
the blocks appear in the game as air, meaning you cannot see the water. however, the game registers that the water is supposed to be there as you cannot use a water bucket until you clear the location using a block.
@GoldenHelmet, no it does not. this happens with every baby chicken. For example, if you dispense an egg on a slab, with a full block above the slab with the slab boxed in, the baby chicken instantly suffocates despite the hitbox supposedly being half a block.
@Mega_Spud, I do not know the answer to this. I currently only have Access to the RTX version of the game as it is the beta that I have installed. However, this is the version that I am having this issue with, in addition to the lighting issue that has been submitted by another user regarding certain blocks not producing light (shroomlight, glowstone, sea pickle, redstone lamp).
edit: i have discovered that another block(s) does not emit light. this is lava, both as a source block and while flowing.
edit: i have created a bug ticket for the lighting issue. it is
