World: normal survival, created before 1.11.0, actually way before...
I think it begun after 1.11.2 update, because I did interact with animals after 1.11.0.
Noticed yesterday that I couldn't ride a horse, then I realized that I can't interact at all with horses, cows, pigs, chicken. With some of the sheep it does work, for some reason.
Not sure how it's related to them being fenced, tried to take my horse outside on a leash (that still works) and it didn't change the behavior.
Things I've tried: restarting minecraft, xbox and router, disabling multiplayer in that world, going far away from the area, going to nether and back, accidentally shooting the horse with a bow.
Please help me out, I'm sick of running everywhere!
I haven't tried other worlds - I only have one other pre-1.11, it's creative, I'll try it tonight.
The controller tooltip should in fact change to mount/feed, but it doesn't (in the video, you can see it change for a moment when pointing at sheep).
Another bit of info: I met a wild donkey and succeeded to mount it (saw the tooltip as well), so maybe it is related to them being fenced... I'll test further tonight.
And also, I died a couple times yesterday, didn't change the situation.
Yes, the animals follow me when I'm holding appropriate food in my hand, but I don't have an option to feed them - no tooltip, nothing happens when clicked.
The issues aren't limited to just feeding, it's a wider problem. Please tell me what do you think is the best course of action, I can open a new ticket in no time.
I will separate working and not working functionality more clearly from now on.
How can I upload my world? I'm playing on xbox one x.
I see, sadly I don't have a realms subscription, I will look for other options...
In the meantime, do you need any additional info?
Also, I'd really appreciate if you could think of any way to try and "fix" my horse - this is the most problematic issue for me, since it's my fastest horse, with gold armor... :'(

I'm having this issues as well, on latest Minecraft version on Xbox One X.
It always happens on first attempt and always succeeds on 2nd attempt.
Same issue here on xbox one x, I'm the realm owner and it seems I have the worst of it.
Before update I had some lag, but not nearly as bad.
NAT type open, xbox speed test shows 100Mb / 20Mb, other things on xbox work good.
