Placement of a double tall grass / double fern in the same block where it was already placed will cause the disappearance of the upper part of the grass

When applying bone meal to grass / ferns / nether fungi at the upper build limit, there is no warning, and the taller part of the plant is cut off

Bonemeal on grass blocks create double tall grass, despite being able to right click regular tall grass to make double tall grass
