MC-115499Item description is not shown when it is inside a chest
When an item is placed within a chest or brewing stand the game does not show the type of item it is and what enchantments are on it. Same goes for potions. When you hold your cursor over an item it displays nothing at all it only shows the item. The only time you can see the details on your items is when it is in your personal inventory.
