In summary, I was in the Nether, when I revealed lava. It flowed into me, lighting me on fire. I then ran to my Nether portal, hoping to get home. I died in the portal, and the respawn button is unclickable. When I try to go to the title screen, the whole window simply freezes up permanently.

I'm not sure I understand the bot. There was no crash, and therefore no crash report. Is this an issue?
You can force a crash by pressing F3+C for 10 seconds. I've never tried it from the death screen, though.
I have encountered this bug too, but it rarely happens on ANY death.
