MC-13177New Client and Server Outputs Increase Loading Time
Ever since Feburary, eveyone has been getting Client and server outputs in the .Minecraft folder.
Even though I don't know why these are showing up, becasue I trust Mojang with all my heart not to spy on us, having all these .txt files in the .Minecraft SEVERLY slows down the load up time.
Usually I'll be stuck on the "Done Loading" Screen for about 30 seconds and the mojang screen for a longer bit of time.
However if I delete these files the game loads up quicker.

Can you please let us know what these folders are for.
I even saw a video on youtube saying that everyone is getting these and they show everything you do in the game and all you say.
I trust there must be a good reason for this but these folders make the load up time a whole lot longer.

You mean files like "output-server.log"? In that case duplicate of
MC-9779.The issue 9779 is a cutter issue, mine is a report about how it's messing up loading time
But wouldn't fixing
MC-9779automagically fix this?The only way they could fix this issue is stopping the new output system. That's why I'm asking why this is even here
Connor, are you certain that text logs are causing the extended delay? What sort of time difference to you get when you delete the logs from the folder? Did it get slower after a particular update? Are you using any mods?
I ran a test without any mods.
I get about a 200% faster load time, everytime I log in I delete these files.
I want to know why these are now showing up
What now ?
Loading time increased by logs or by mods ?
He says the period of time the Mojang splash is up before the main menu loads is half as long when he deletes the logs from the .minecraft folder before loading the game... this is without any mods.
What I find is that every day I log on Everyday the first Time it is slower
Slow DNS ?
There are several URLs to be resolved: login.minecraft.net, skins.minecraft.net, session.minecraft.net etc. After the first login, those URLs are cached by your computer / DNS.
With the above output files, I see the Mojang screen for 4 seconds either way.
