Seems I made a minor mistake by using optifine and reporting that here. I decided to test it again with JUST Minecraft and nothing else modifying it:
Issue Description:
When mining blocks, if I mine fast enough and don't wait on the drop to register, my player gets teleported back a few blocks and my view controls lock up in a random way. This happens on any server I join, survival or creative.
I ran a few test runs on previous MC versions like 1.12, 1.13, and just regular 1.14 and 1.14.3, and they all did not have this effect.
Environment
Java Minecraft 1.14.4
NO Optifine this test run
Wifi;
about 600ms - 650ms ping on servers is the norm for me.
PC:
Intel Pentium 1.6 Ghz
8 GB RAM
Intel Integrated

MC-156852does not describe my issue. No ghost blocks are left behind, but my player is teleported to a previous position and my view controls get teleported to a previous position as well.Hmm. While the lag occurs, could you please run /debug start, wait a while and then run /debug stop in order to create a debug profile. Afterwards, run /debug report.
If you do not have the permission to run these commands, open your world to LAN and enable cheats. If you're on a server, make sure that you're a server operator in order to execute these commands.
Then, please attach the profile results found in minecraft/debug/profile-results-<DATE>.txt, as well as the debug report found in minecraft/debug/debug-report-<DATE>.zip here.
