MC-17741Enchanting Table doesn't recognize bookshelves at all, not matter what
My enchanting table will not recognize existing or freshly placed bookshelves. There aren't any little characters flowing to the table, nor is the cost of the enchantings increased.

My enchanting table will not recognize existing or freshly placed bookshelves. There aren't any little characters flowing to the table, nor is the cost of the enchantings increased.

What is the distance between the table and the bookshelves?
Is it only that the floating letters are missing or do you get low enchantments only?
Unable to confirm.
The distance is:
Enchanting table
Space
Bookshelf
and there aren't any letters flowing and the enchantment prices are low
Cannot reproduce either.
Carpet, snow or torches between the bookshelves and the table ?
These are my proof screenshots
There is only torches between the two.
A strange bug, I know, but annoying nonetheless
Even without torches, they don't connect
And if I replace the bookshelves without torches, it still doesn't work
Can you please provide the exact steps how and in what order you place the blocks ?
The new snapshot fixed it but if you still want to know:
1. place enchanting table
2. place bookshelves with a space between them and the enchanting table
Strange.
