i used to be able to craft Netherite weapons/tools when i first started the beta. however, now i am unable to combine any diamond items and netherite ingots at the crafting table or otherwise. however, i can still make netherite ingots.

You craft netherite tools in a smithing table rather than in a crafting table

Netherite tools acutally cannot be crafted, instead, use a smithing table to fuse a netherite ingot with a diamond tool. Duplicate of
MC-173990.
