MC-18172Horse Glitch
I'm not sure if this is a bug, or something horses normally do. My horse jumped into a huge ravine, I thought that they would not jump into places deeper than 3 blocks. Nothing pushed him, he simply walked straight in.

Horses do not usually jump by themselves. Were you riding it? Otherwise, their AI might not look for holes.
I thought they didn't jump by themselves so I left him next to a ravine. About 5 seconds after I dismounted he turned around and jumped into the ravine.
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
