MC-22436Signs on Fences are buggy, you can only place them but not write on them.
I tried to put a sign onto the side of a fence, but i was not able to write something onto it, because the editing mode didn't open. On other blocks it worked, only fences prevent signs from being written on.

it's already a bug that u can put signs on non-solid-blocks (ie fences) so nothing to complain...
I can elaborate on what exactly the issue is a little better once I tested it.
I tried other similar blocks to fences such as iron bars and glass panes, but fences were the only ones that produced the bug described above.
What is really happening is if the player right-clicks while sneaking they can place the sign and enter the editing menu, but if the player is not sneaking they will just place the sign on the fence.
Gamemode: Survival
This was tested on a Windows 7 pc with the latest versions of Java and Minecraft (v 1.6.1).
