Despite them being books, knowledge books can't be placed in a chiseled bookshelf.
How to reproduce:
- Give yourself a knowledge book (/give @s minecraft:knowledge_book)
- Use it on a chiseled bookshelf
Expected behavior:
- The knowledge book is placed in the chiseled bookshelf
Actual results:
- Books are retrieved from the bookshelf (if present), or nothing happens if the bookshelf is empty.

Just to clarify, the hand animation plays here because of
MC-256470but no knowledge book is placed onto the chiseled bookshelf. I can confirm this behavior. MC-256477.mp4
