The Bug:
The chains on non-"attached" hanging signs are slightly larger than the signs.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Summon a non-"attached" hanging sign by using the command provided below.
/setblock ~1 ~ ~1 minecraft:bamboo_hanging_sign
- Look closely at where the chain connects to the sign.
- Take note as to whether or not the chains on non-"attached" hanging signs are slightly larger than the signs.
Observed Behavior:
The chains are slightly larger than the signs.
Expected Behavior:
The chains would be the size same as the signs.

Confirmed. This may be intentional or a "Won't Fix". Regardless, I've made some alterations to this ticket to clearly state the potential problem here.
possibly intended, as it makes the chain the same size as chain blocks, and keeps the pixels square.
