Elytra Animation in Inventory extremely glitch when flying and in water

This screenshot was taken whilst in a server, however it can still be seen and recreated in any environment to my knowledge. It is extremally difficult to take a screenshot as it happens very fast, but you can recreate it by gliding into to water and the moment you hit the water you open you inventory.
