MC-358Beacon Blocks do not power up properly
When building both a 164 block and 9 block diamond pyramid, and placing the beacon block on top, I am only able to choose the lowest power, regardless of the fact that one is only 9 blocks and the other is the largest, 164-block design that is supposed to allow access to all of the powers.
Environment
Windows 7 x64, Java 7 update 9 (build 1.7.0_09-b05)

Just remembering that the piramid can't be hollow.
