When you interrupt a zombie while they are attempting to break down a door, the "cracked"
particlesremain even if the door is later removed. This issue doesn't always occur. What I expected to happen was...:
After killing or interrupting a zombie attempting to break down a door, the damage indicator or "cracked" effect should disappear. What actually happened was...:
Instead, the damage indicator or "cracked" effect sometimes remain behind, even if the door is removed. It just seems to float in the air.Steps to Reproduce:
1. Find a village and wait for zombies to try and break down any door.
2. Stop the zombie or kill the zombie.
3. The "cracked" effect on the door is still showing when it shouldn't, even if the door is removed.Screenshots:

What was I doing: I was busy doing some VM maintenience while leaving Minecraft running in the main menu. At the time just before the crash, the background music is playing.
How I know the crash occurred: When the background music stops playing abruptedly.
Any way to reproduce it reliably? No idea. It rarely occurs that the crash happened in the Main Menu, with the music playing nicely.

Do, could you please check your email you registered with? We're trying to get in contact with you
@voi1452 please be respectful towards others or you'll not be permitted to use this issue tracker anymore.
@doublen1 please try and provide more (correct) information and keep it to one bug per report, thanks!
Other settings named along the same lines (spawn-animals, spawn-monsters) works the same way.
On top of what TnT already said:
I made this ticket to serve as an example of the kind of tickets we want, despite knowing this bug had already been fixed by us. Note how I direct people to this ticket in our "Writing useful bug reports" guide.
Relates to; not a duplicate.
Not a bug. This is intentionally done.
Personally I feel that this is possibly a bug report, but falls more under the realm of "troubleshooting and support" than that of a "bug report" and so I agree with the resolution of 'invalid'. Furthermore, I can somewhat agree with CubeTheThird's rationale that you could go and submit a feature request to the Minecraft forums for the related reason he's explained above, however I also understand the confusion this suggestion has caused since it doesn't directly relate to this issue but is rather a possible solution moving forward.
That being said, I feel that CubeTheThird's decision to Resolve this as Invalid is the correct decision and that further discussion on this topic should be moved over to a help request on the Minecraft Forums where the community can help you troubleshoot and investigate the issue.
I hope this clears everything up for you and everyone else!
You aren't the first person to bring this up. My understanding of the way Endermen work is that they become 'scary' when provoked and I thought this was entirely separate from becoming aggressive. This is how it works in the game, but this is apparently not how people see it?
I'd very much appreciate discussing this with you here
. As it stands, this behaviour was fully intended by me - although the way I did this is flawed and has been fixed for the next snapshot/update. Endermen now become scary if you provoke them at all (previously, in this snapshot, they would only become 'scary' when hit, not when shot at) and they dodge arrows (the arrows fly through them, they don't hit them and disappear). Enderman also only become non-scary in daylight, when it rains or when they've been set on fire. Enderman on fire also now behave the way they do when it is raining - they teleport like crazy. I figured Enderman would freak out when on fire and teleport all over the place. I know I would.
I hope this clears things up, but I would love to hear your thoughts too!
Enderman teleport multiple times when shot at.
Shooting at Endermen don't cause them to lose their aggro, they just teleport away and find some other angle to rip you apart from. Don't blink.
Unable to reproduce the reported issue in any case.
Hmm, I think it'd be interesting to find some impressions from people on this change. Perhaps making them 'scary' for a brief moment before setting them back to normal might be a good idea. I'm sort of tempted to keep it in an update and see what people think...
We're unable to reproduce this bug given the various steps to reproduce provided by the OP and in the comments. As this ticket is simply regarding "repairing tools with an anvil" not working in Multiplayer, this ticket is invalid.
Looking into this, it looks like the repairing issue is directly related to using a non-default language when connected to a Multiplayer server. As such, MC-1123 is better suited for tracking this bug.
I've tweaked this behaviour a bit, let me know what you think
Oh, so I've been chasing the 'silk touch' angle and getting nowhere, when it is actually a pickaxe at all drops a Command Block item so obviously my fixes didn't work (I didn't test this one, it seemed so simple...). I've edited the ticket and will fix this bug.
Hahaha, that's awesome.
Okay, I'm still tweaking the behaviour so I'll try and keep that in mind
, thanks for the feedback!
As far as I can tell, this is not a bug and is in fact working as intended.
As far as I can tell, this issue is caused by some other software and not Minecraft itself. As such, I am marking this as Invalid.
Do you have any texture packs installed? If so, what are they and can you provide me with links please?
The new texture loading system is still very early in its development. The problem here is that the texture packs you are using have invalid files in them (.rtf and a .txt with other data than texture pack data in them). If anything, we should add some checks and better feedback as to why a texture pack is causing a problem or not loading.
This should be fixed in at least Snapshot 13w18a, please test and let me know if this is fixed so I can resolve the ticket, thanks!
All mobs should ignore the player in Creative mode, though the changes we've made might only apply to New AI mobs.
Spawner Eggs (of all types) now work on water.
I definitely fixed one of the causes of this issue and was unable to reproduce anything after the fix, so I marked this as Resolved and Fixed. I've gone through the comments and tried everything mentioned but have been unable to reproduce this issue once again. I just finished going through the last comment and my kitten turned into an adult cat and has not disappeared at all.
As much as I want to fix this issue (probably even more than you want us to), being able to reproduce the issue is the first step in fixing it and I'm having great difficulty doing so. If you can provide more detailed information and a way to reproduce it every single time, that would probably help me out immensely.
Strange, I'm able to reproduce this now but wasn't able to after my fix. Investigating.
No, it's already fixed. Restarting your game should fix it for you.
This is NOT a bug. This is an intended feature and is here to stay.
If you're having this issue with anything other than Ocelots, a world upload would give me somewhere to start with looking into this issue. Until then, there's not much I can do as I'm unable to come up with a way to reproduce this issue on demand.
As it stands, we're unable to reproduce this issue of villagers despawning. I've also looked into the code and am unable to see any problems with it.
If this is still an issue, please let the mods know so they can re-open it and we'll reinvestigate when we can.
If, however, the issue is that villagers are still disappearing due to reasons that are NOT related to despawning, please create a new ticket to track that specific issue.
/scoreboard teams option <team> color is only meant to support colours and I've made the necessary changes to reflect this behaviour.
Potentially fixed this issue. I'm not able to reproduce it so I'm not 100% sure. Please test and let me know, thanks
Interesting. Can you show me how you tested this? Was this a newly placed boat?
I see. I didn't test with such an extreme case. I believe I've fixed it now, thanks!
I have not pushed my fix yet, so the fix is not in 39b, sorry.
