MC-37110Wrong pinging icon
I don't know if this is a bug or if it's intended, but in the Multiplayer screen when pinging a server the "no connection" icon is shown, instead of the old animated "pinging" icon. This happens with any server I try to connect to, including outdated servers.

This ticket is incomplete without the requested information, no response has been received within a reasonable time and we are assuming this is no longer an issue. If you are still experiencing this issue, we can reopen it at your request.
Same here. Some servers show up instantly but most take forever to ping. Some never leave pinging.
Also, the ping time increased a lot in 1.7.2 with the new networking system.
Cannot confirm, but don't get "Pinging..."
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
Keep in mind that the "Resolved"-Status on this ticket just means "Answered", and that we are waiting for further information on whether this issue still exists or not. We will reopen it as soon as the requested information has been deliviered.
I don't get "Pinging..." anymore, but I assume that's intentional. The icon is fine.
