Can confirm this. Same on my Ubuntu System.
Same with me on minecraft 13w47c on Ubuntu 13.10 64bit
Same here on my Ubuntu 12.04 64bit
It now displays the correct message. Currently twitch streaming is not supported on linux, but support may one day be added.
"One day"? do you mean when the 1.7.3 update will be released?
There is no available estimate yet as to if or when Linux will be supported by Twitch.
