Structures below ground level don't render at certain angles
I have been constructing a large structure dug below ground level. Looking down into it at certain angles, sections of the structure (and the world behind it) do not render. See images - the first shows the structure rendered whilst the second, at a slightly different angle, shows a gap through to the void.
I had noticed this on rare occasions in previous versions of Minecraft but it is far more prevalent in version 1.8.
Environment
Ubuntu 12.04 (Linux 3.2.0-70-generic) AMD64
Java 1.7.0_55 (Oracle)
OpenGL 4.2.0 NVIDIA 304.116
