Banners in 64px resource pack not working
the issue I have is described over here in details with pics.

too tired for rewritting it all from scratch, especially when I don't believe in Mojang caring about resource pack authors...

Resolved as invalid by a Mojang developer here:
MC-63485HD textures for entities are not supported.
just as I said, thanks for proving me I was right
but it was worth at least a try, right?

You mention in the forum post that you use Paint.NET. Simply open the file and immediately press Ctrl+S. It will bring up a preview window with estimated size and color settings. Set the bit depth to 32-bit and save. Repeat this process for the banner_base.png image and all the images inside the banner folder. This solved the issue for me.
