MC-8896water only flows two blocks from dispensers
We were trying to use the new redstone features to create a automated farm, when we found this bug.

This could be a result of your design. Water always flows towards the nearest drop/hole as long as it is less than 7 blocks away. Your water is flowing out towards the channels you dug. For more info, read this: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Water#Spreading
The water source searches 6 blocks around it to find the closest hole to move towards.
