It is quite bad performance on the switch version. It chugs when there is multiple enemies onscreen or when explosions happen. And there's not a good reason for it like full resolution or very good visuals. It lacks in beauty and performance so I don't know what the deal is. It's also locked at 30 FPS so the fact that it's going under 30 really is too bad.

The performance is really bad, especially when docked. All games I know of using Unreal engine running on switch works greate.
Agreed, this needs to be addressed! I'm trying to play with a friend who gets motion sick easily and the frame drops severely hamper her experience.
I experienced this issue constantly when playing in local coop (2 players in total). Frames drop really bad, making the game almost unplayable in coop and ruining the experience.
This is one of the reasons why it feels like the game was released un-finished. Mojang should've taken a couple months more and finish it properly.
