What I expected to happen was...:
When I put my switch to sleep while playing Minecraft Dungeons, I expected to be able to reopen it.
What actually happened was...:
Instead, it gave an error message and crashed the game and all of my progress on the map was gone.
Steps to Reproduce:
**I did some testing on my end and could not reproduce it as of yet. My possible steps to reproduce are:
1: Keep the switch asleep for a long time then reopen.
2.Keep the switch sleeping in either the game itself or the home screen

I have this same problem at least once per day (i usually leave and pick up the game 3 to 4 times a day), it also crashes randomly when loading a level.
I've had the same issue multiple times. I play this with my kids, and we often have to put the Switch to sleep mid level, only to find that the game has crashed and we need to restart. Really frustrating.
