MCD-4784Character Files Are Missing
Recently the pc that I use to run Minecraft Dungeons has become incredibly laggy. So I decided to try to transfer my character from my old pc to my new one, which can run the game well. However, even though I was able to find my character data and port it over to my other pc, it does not show up in the actual game even though I put the character data in my files with all my other characters. What’s more, all the other characters that I have in my new pc do not show up at all in the game files, because the entire folder for characters seems to be completely missing. I don’t know why this is the case. I have not tampered with the files in the past, and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but it doesn’t work. I don’t think I’ll be able to continue playing the game if this continues to not work.

Yes, as far as I know this is still an issue with the most recent version of the game. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, and it doesn't work. Let me know if you want to see pictures to see what could be wrong.

We are currently working on implementing cross saves and cloud saves, which should hopefully help in avoiding issues like this in the future. This is described in this article.

MCD-1142, so this ticket is being resolved and linked as a duplicate. If you would like to add a vote and any extra information to the main ticket, it would be appreciated.Unfortunately we do not have the tools necessary to restore lost progress and/or corrupted/unreadable characters at this time.
