me and my two boys enjoyed together Minecraft dungeons local play.
ipdated new version and ip to date ps4 system as well,
now we can't join local play, I read this issue already reported Nov /2020 still not fixed ?

Having the same issue ... was no problem with local players joining, then updated and now cannot add another player.
L3 feels unresponsive
Tried deleting game and re-installing, it remembered updates and even status of game - also didn't fix the issue. No one is logged into the PS Network, Local players only.
PS4 Software system: 8.03
MCD Version: 1.11
I have the same issue as Paul Robinson, and gone through the same process with no resolution.
If P1 (parental control, age 12). Starts the game and P2 (parental control age 12, unrestricted adult, or unrestricted adult with PSN) tries to Join nothing happens.
But if P1 (unrestricted adult) starts the game, P2 can join but only as a new character or clown of P1 but not with the character they created and play with on their account.
Interestingly before this problem occurred, and the game started by P1 (parental control age 12), P2 (unrestricted adult) could join and with the character that P2 created and play with in solo game play.
It looks like this issue is something to do with Child accounts?
Currently my son and his friends can no longer play local coop. Which is a strong aspect of this game especially for those too young for a PSN account (18+)
Having this problem too. My sons started a local player game on the 26/12 and played for a few hours. now the second player cant join their local multiplayer game. L3 unresponsive.
Tried to completely uninstall and reinstall. Can start a new game with up to 3 controllers but cant get more than one player on the existing game.
Update is 1.11 i see that the problem has been around since 1.09 or earlier.
Tried to uninstall and reinstall and skip updates but get an error while starting the game. so that is SNAFU too.
Bought the game for my kids to play (PS4) and the local multiplayer now simply won't work. Neither have PSN accounts, so both are on local accounts. No age restrictions on the accounts, and the latest version of both game and system software installed. On their first attempt, local multiplayer worked fine. The following day, it had stopped working on one account (could not be joined), but they got around it by launching on the other account and joining that way. Now neither way works. Seems like it works the first time you launch the game on an account, and then just stops functioning.
Having the same issue.
We've tried to uninstall the app and reinstall without updating but the app crashes, we are forced to update.
Same issue.
Coop is working, if P1 starting the game is adult player account.
If P1 ist child account, L3 button does not respond.

I've launched the game with an adult account and my kids can play now.
This is a duplicate of existing issue
MCD-4750. I would recommend you vote on that one to try and get it bumped up the list. So many people experiencing the same problem unfortunately.Thank you for your report!
