Hey.
Im a PC player, and I play with two players of PS4. In the last boss, arce-villager, he uses one skill that make a "X" and starts to spin. This skill is hidden for me and the other PS4 player, just the host can see it. We take damage from the skill but we can't see it.
I didn't screenshot the bug but its very easy to imagine. Is just that... we can't see the skill so we can't run from it.

Reporting a bug in online with host in PS4.

Got this too but it was on same platform as the host (PC)
I also encountered this issue playing in an online lobby with 2 others (all 3 accounts were playing on the nintendo switch)
I have reproduced this bug with PC and Switch cross play, only the host can see the beam loop attack of the Heart of Ender
Latest Windows 10 Home 64 bit version at time of writing

I can also reproduce this 100% on patch 1.8.4.0, me playing on Xbox Series X and the host playing on PS4. I've encountered the issue consistently throughout April. This bug makes it exceptionally difficult to beat the boss in online coop.
When the fight starts, my friend has audio and visual cues before the fight starts (arch illager flying), but I cannot see these. Once the second phase begins, I am entirely unable to see the swirling lasers.
If I host the match myself or play solo, I can see the laser attack.
I haven't yet confirmed this on patch 1.8.8.0, as I haven't played since yesterday.
This issue should be fixed as of version 1.9.1.0. Please let us know if this is indeed the case.
