MCD-6863Endless respawn off of cliff in secret in Soggy Swamp
Yesterday I was playing in the Soggy Swamp. I had already gone through the endersent arena and came back to the main objective path, then went through the next secret. After killing the enderman and a bunch of illagers, I was met with a vindicator raid captain. In order to get out of its way and shoot at it, I ran and accidentally fell off a cliff into the swamp. Normally, you would just respawn at the checkpoint, but I was stuck in a respawn loop over where I fell off a cliff into a spawn. I would respawn, have less than a quarter of a second to shoot at the raid captain, then fall and respawn once again. Over and over. Eventually the raid captain managed to kill me, as I had lost nearly all my health from falling so many times. But I still didn't respawn at the checkpoint. I just kept falling into the same swamp over and over. I tried going into the pause menu and using Return to Checkpoint, but as I was in the middle of a battle with two vindicator raid captains, it was grayed out. After several minutes of failed attempts either try and get back onto the cliff (although I would die so quickly I had no time to walk or roll), defeat the raid captains so I could use Return to Checkpoint, or just trying to blow myself up with my fireworks, I eventually just returned to camp.
