Buttons in "Go to camp" menu in Tower run are unintuitive
Sometimes when I click on the pillar to exit the tower run, it's random. And intuitively, to close the confirmation prompt to exit, I press esc, which would work as meant in, well, any software. But this one does the opposite - it will exit the run and get me to camp.

I don't think this is a bug, it might be intentional. Try posting on the Minecraft Feedback site. But it does make sense the escape button brings you back to camp. You are escaping the tower after all.
I don't think that you believe in what you're saying, the Esc key was commonly accepted, if not intended, to be used as a way to stop an action. It says so on the wikipedia page: "The escape character, when sent from the keyboard to a computer, often is interpreted by software as "stop", and when sent from the computer to an external device marks the beginning of an escape sequence to specify operating modes or characteristics generally."
There's a reason A LOT of games also implement the Esc key to cancel your action or answer "No" on prompt menus, at least the games with sane UI design. And if you already know which keys on the keyboard do what, you would never have on your mind to press Esc to quit the game, or the B button on your gamepad, or the right click button on your mouse. In the example right here you were clearly asked if you were intending to leave the tower run. Would you say "No" to answer positively? Why do these button even have green and red colours? Does all of this make sense to you?
The reason I don't mark this as a suggestion on a feedback site is that this ticket is not an idea, it's an indication of bad UI design
Fixed with the Season 3 update (1.16.2.0).
