MCD-7534Shadow Surge enchantment has no effect
Steps to reproduce
- Equip at least one soul artifact to activate soul collection.
- Equip armor with the shadow surge enchantment.
- Enter shadow form.
- Kill a hostile mob by any means except soul artifact damage.
Expected result
Shadow surge activates and you get extra souls based on your shadow surge level.
Observed result
Shadow surge activates as shown by its icon appearing on the side of the screen, but you do not get any extra souls.

The souls from shadow surge are given instantly instead of floating to the player. I was confused by this at first, too. See MCD-7534.
Resolving as "Cannot Reproduce" because I made a mistake. The shadow surge souls are granted instantly instead of floating to the player with the other souls, so I didn't see them register until I started trimming my recording to share here.
