Minecraft Launcher Blank Screen using DisplayLink Dock (MacOS)
Steps to reproduce:
- Use a DisplayLink dock (I use a Plugable USB dock) with DisplayLink Manager 1.1.0 with at least one monitor plugged into it.
- Attempt to start the latest version of Minecraft (1.16.4) using the launcher (2.2.910).
- Note the window briefly appears then goes black. No selections can be made.
Please note that if I unplug the dock, start the launcher then plug it back in, both the Minecraft Launcher and the game run perfectly fine. There seems to be an issue at start-up that prevents the launcher from initially displaying correctly.
Attempts to fix:
- Restarting the machine has no effect
- Re-installing a fresh version of Minecraft does not work
- Tried clearing cache/settings in Library - did not work
Environment
MacOS Big Sur 11.1 (Intel)
openjdk 11.0.2 2019-01-15
OpenJDK Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11.0.2+9)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11.0.2+9, mixed mode)
