MCL-17670The icon for the launcher is a piece of folded paper instead of the grass block.
When my computer updated the Minecraft Launcher was gone and there was a piece of paper folded in the corner instead. It still works so its not a big issue.

Can you add a screenshot?
You need to make a new shortcut - that one is attached to the version you uninstalled
when uninstalled, shortcut disappeared; that shortcut just needs to be deleted/removed and replaced w/the newly installed version.
