When I go to play minecraft, the play button is swapping back and forth from "Play Demo" to "Play Offline", even though I have internet connection, and I have purchased minecraft.

Same, it's getting ridiculously annoying. I've reinstalled minecraft, the launcher, java, checked windows and driver updates, restarted computer and tried re-logging in countless time. Literally can't do anything, just sitting here going through countless posts with no solutions or help that I haven't tried already
yeah I am having the same problem and ive uninstalled mc about 5 time so far and have turned off my computer my router everything and it still will not work
Thank you for making such a detailed complaint. I came here to report the same issue and thought the launcher just made up a ticket for me. I've updated windows, double checked my Wi-Fi connections (2g and 5g), then I logged out and back into Mojang, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher and then finally shut down my computer for a few minutes and still no luck.
