MCL-23289Snapshot versions appear when selecting a new version inside of creating a new installation.
When I select a version to pick out from the version changer whilst creating a new installation of Minecraft, every single snapshot appears and I do not know how to get rid of it. It makes it difficult to find specific versions that I want to play.

You can search for versions when you type them in the version changer field. That should make it easier than searching them in the list.
Right, just start typing your version precisely including the dots.
