MCL-2820Profile names have no length limitation, causing buttons to be below the "Play" button
I made a profile with a 100 letter name and it caused the new profile button to become gigantic. Because of that I cant click the edit profile button because it appears to be under the play button.

You need to rename the profile, or get rid of it.
If it doesn't work, save all your resource packs (and if you have, mods), delete .minecraft, and re-download it.
I clicked something in the developmental section which somehow fixed it.
Other solution would have been to stretch the window horizontally.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft Launcher version 2.0.805 / 2.0.806? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.

However, it looks like the profile name has still no length limitation.
This issue was "... Causing buttons to be below the "Play" button" . This is fixed.
