It seems the issue was fixed while I was typing this report. Thank you for your help!
Environment
Windows 10, Java 8
Created Issue:
Minecraft unable to handle seperate profiles
I have reproduced my previous "modded" issue in vanilla Minecraft. When you have multiple "profiles" in the minecraft vanilla launcher, it will not seperate the worlds. I logged into and created a vanilla 1.8.8 world in singleplayer mode and walked around for a moment, then closed out minecraft and restarted the launcher and created an entirely new profile for 1.7.10. When I loaded up the 1.7.10 profile, the world I had just created was available under the singleplayer menu and it allowed me to log in and run around. Also the resourcepack should have changed, but both "profiles" were accessing the same exact files which should not happen.
