MCL-4470All launcher text replaced by black boxes (caused by outdated Java)
All text in the launcher, both static text and text input field, shows as black boxes. The only exception in the password box, which correctly showed dots.
I tested this with a blank .minecraft directory and a new copy of the launcher jar from the website, and the issue persisted.
Playing around with the username box seems to indicate that the letters are the correct widths, and that the glyphs have just been replaced by solid black boxes of the appropriate widths.
Environment
OS: Funtoo linux unstable amd64
Java version: Oracle 1.7.0_95 (also tested with IcedTea)

I noticed that you are using an outdated build of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Please update to the latest version. It is very unlikely that it is the cause of the issue, but there is still that chance.
like said before, does this issue still remain after updating java?
My operating system has not packaged newer versions yet. Will respond when they are available (or if I can figure out a way to do a local install of the package from oracle's website).
Can confirm that it works as expected with the version of java from the Oracle website.
