I too am getting this issue but it's for any minecraft version.
Seems to have started since I updated my Geforce drivers.
There's two known crash issues right now, and I reckon it's one or both of them:
+_*How Do You Do It?
_+How to you resolve the crash? Every time I start minecraft, the launcher comes back up and says my minecraft crashed whilst intiazling the game. How to you resolve it?
