Nothing really happened I just clicked "Play" after the new Update and it was just stuck there saying "Preparing" but from what I seen its affecting Mac players...

ok I found the way to fix it just use your old launcher , the launcher.jar btw yes reset your configuration when asked you too, but other then that you could play minecraft so don't worry
