MCL-6795Minecraft will not launch
When I try to start up anything, the launcher gives me this error.
"The game directory is invalid or inaccessible.
Error details: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process
Filename on disk: .minecraft
Path: C:\Users\William\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
Exists: directory"
Notes: This started happining after the switch from the old laucher (the one that didnt have the skins tab) to the new one (the one with the skins tab)
I know this looks like a duplicate of MCL-5367, but I uninstalled my antivirus, and it still had the error. I do not know how to fix the problem based on the duplicate case.
Environment
My operating system is windows 7 professional, service pack 1, my java version is Version 8 Update 121 (build 1.8.0_121-b13)
Launch settings
Resolution:1280X720 (still happens on 480p)
Game Directory: C:\Users(MyIRLName)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
Java Executable: C:\Program Files(x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64\1.8.0_25\bin\javaw.exe
JVM Arguments: -Xmx1G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn128M
Specs
Processor: AMD A8-3850 APU (2.9 GHz)
RAM: 16.0 GB DDR3
64-bit OS
VRAM:1 gig GDDR5
Graphics Card:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
