Happens to me too.
Whatever you do, don't reinstall the game.
It will make all villages disappears including Homesteads and Wellhouses.
Plus, you won't be able to use teleport anymore except for Well of Fate.
We do not have enough information to find the cause of this issue.
Could you provide us with your computer specification? (DxDiag file should be enough)
