Firstly, monsters don't spawn in creative.
Second, is it night time and still no monsters?
Third, check your options page and make sure the button item, Peaceful, is OFF
Monsters are scary in my opinion. (Skeletons Shivers) It's your best bet that monsters aren't spawning in your world. (If your talking about animals like pigs, cows, sheep, and chickens. THEY DON'T SPAWN IN CREATIVE MODE. (Unless it's a PC imported map.
I seem to be having no monsters on servival mode. On 0.10.5
