Happens to me too. Usually seems to happen when you exit the game in a tight area with a low ceiling... Sometimes I can get it to work over and over, other times I cant get it to work at all. Haven't found a way to reliably recreate it every time.

Given that the point of an issue tracker is to organize and track individual issues, don't you think lumping several issues into one is a bit counterproductive? How do you expect something like this to be resolved?

MCPE-55Probably related to
MCPE-51. The behavior described in 51 can happen with or without a bed, although the bed seems to help get the player into a low enough space to trigger the bug.I don't see any "incorrect image" in the screenshot, just the usual snow, dirt and snow-covered-grass block textures. Why do you think this is incorrect?
I'm still not seeing it, it just looks like normal dirt blocks with snow on top in the middle and grass blocks with snow on top on the sides to me. I reproduced it here by replacing two snow-covered grass blocks with two snow-covered dirt blocks; it looks the same: http://imgur.com/a/v07zo
I'm pretty sure this is not a bug.
I've seen this before fairly often, seems to be an off-by-one error when determining which chunks are in a biome.
Yup, that white icicle-looking stuff on the sides is only there on grassy blocks (seems to just be a white recolor of the side of the grass block). You can actually watch it disappear when sheep eat the grass (they can eat it through the snow)... if you didn't dig it up, sheep could explain how it got like that.
Probably better to keep it around in case someone else reports it down the road.

The creeper was up in the air, but it seems like he should have been close enough to the sand to damage it...
You're right, I never noticed that before... maybe it's a bug after all. It's still a useful behavior though... if you want to stay afloat while you look at your inventory, you can move forward or jump while you open it. If you want to drown, you can stop moving before you open it.

MCPE-124,MCPE-168@Johan the torch disappears if it was attached to dirt or stone for sure, and also others. It drops if it was attached to something "weird" like a fence, crafting table, or furnace. I'm in the habit of always removing torches before breaking the block they're on so I don't lose them, or I'd be able to give a more thorough list of what they do and don't drop from, but they don't seem to drop from most "normal" materials... If it's useful to you, I'll check everything and make a comprehensive list.
duplicates
MCPE-40Sheep regrow wool as soon as they eat some grass. If you shear them right before they eat, or at the beginning of the eating animation, they'll regrow wool pretty much immediately. AFAIK their eating habits haven't changed in 0.4.0.
@Johan, this issue is trickier than it looks, I think. I don't think it has as much to do with the type of block it's attached to as what's around it.
I tested this with several types of blocks and the materials didn't seem to affect it at all. I only used materials that torches can be placed on, either directly or indirectly, for the "host" block and the adjacent blocks.
Yeah, like desktop MC they drop different colors of wool, but unlike desktop MC the mob doesn't match the color of the drops. It feels pretty unnatural to me, to the point where I'd rather they just drop white wool (if brown dye were added, all colors would still be obtainable). I haven't heard anyone else complain, though, so maybe it's just weird to me, idk.

Seriously, though, I've had no problems growing wheat to maturity, as long as it has a water source.
@Sam, it does, but I had that one pegged as a duplicate of 110 as well. After looking at it again I think you're right; 110 is probably bogus, and this ticket should probably be marked as a dupe of 127. Removing my comment from 127.
No public issues have a priority other than Minor. Common sense suggests that Android will get the new features in the next build, including the fix addressing
MCPE-1.First one looks like it could be a normal shadow, hard to tell.
What the heck is up with the second picture? It looks like a snow-topped block except it's sand-topped... Sand-topped sand. No idea what to make of that.
With the third picture, could those cobblestones on the right actually be backwards-facing stone stairs? Those would let light through.
@Michelle, thanks, for some reason I just wasn't seeing the water in that second picture.
From what you're describing, it sounds to me like the blocklight data stored in chunks.dat is not always being updated when it should.
I wonder if this could be related to
MCPE-115– torch gets destroyed without doing the normal torch-destroying routine, blocklight doesn't get updated?I'm with you on this. The simple fix would be having the forward button move you in the direction you're facing on all three axes, taking the pitch into account. This would make it much easier to dive for goodies after slaughtering mobs at their water parties.
@Johan I bet it was... bugs like this make me wish I had a copy of the code to look at. Glad to be able to save you a few minutes of testing, anyway. Keep up the good work, we all really appreciate it!
Doesn't it work that way in regular MC? I think this is by design.
From the wiki, emphasis mine:

Suggested fix: replace the pause icon with something else, since it's not really a pause button. Maybe a little left-facing arrow or triangle or something, to make it a back button like android?
@Ezekiel I'm assuming the button works as intended, and the pause glyph is confusing. If pausing is really the intended behavior, then yes, it would make sense to pause the game. Otherwise, I don't see how removing the pause glyph from a button that doesn't provide pause functionality would be confusing.
> Any mob can climb a ladder in the same way a player does: by pushing against it. Mobs are not smart enough to deliberately use ladders — they won't stay on a ladder to get somewhere, but a ladder directly in their straight-line path will let them climb up.

If you really wanted this, you'd probably have to make a great case for why cactus should behave differently in PE than they do in PC... I don't see it happening, because I don't see any potential justification there, but YMMV.

If this ticket andMC-559are marked as duplicates ofMC-206, it will be easy to find them again from there, but they won't drown out other stuff as much, because they won't be open.tl;dr: I think we want to have only one ticket open per issue, no matter how good the tickets are.

This is clearly not a bug, it's a feature request at best, if not an entirely separate project.
Linux is clearly supported, and instructions for launching the game are right there on the download page.
If you know people who could benefit from something like this, why not just make a deb or rpm with a little script that downloads the launcher and installs all the shortcuts and share it with them?
Talven, good point, I thought about that before posting, and read that section... the way I read it, as long as your script is downloading it from the "central source," it should be legit, but I could be wrong. Obviously there would be issues with trademarks too, so the launcher icon would probably suck.
If your rpm doesn't contain (any version of) the client (because it downloads it from the "central source"), how can it possibly contain/be a hacked client?
Anyway, I'm not here to give you legal advice; do what you like, but please use this issue tracker for bug reports only, not requests for enhancement.

Chad, out of curiosity, what did you search for? I typed "jump over walls" in the Quick Search box and found

MCPE-303?As far as I can tell from the description on the wiki, that's pretty much how it's supposed to work.
There's also been some confusion in MCPE, which does accept 0, which is treated the same as -0, and 0.1, and in fact any string starting with 0... but there probably would have been just as much confusion if 0 acted like a non-seed.
I don't see any particular reason to expect 0 to act one way or the other in this situation, so I'm marking this "Works As Intended" until I hear otherwise.
Please add more information about your system (GPU? Java version?) and either some screenshots, a video, or a list of exact steps someone else can follow to see this behavior.

Talven, do you recall whether that was an Atlassian-hosted JIRA or a 3rd-party JIRA install? I think that would definitely slow the duplicate tickets down some...

This issue was really common with MCPE; I think it's recently been fixed there, maybe the fix can make its way back upstream...

What's different about
MC-1662? Looks pretty much the same to me.Cloning is probably the best way to handle it... you could also try to get a mod to reopen it, but there isn't really a great way of contacting mods right now. Cloning also draws more attention to it than reopening would, I think. It's probably not a bad thing for regressions like this to stand out a bit more (assuming people use cloning responsibly, of course).
The only written guidelines we have right now, AFAIK, are here; they're targeted more at non-technical users. Communication between mods and developers mostly happens on IRC (I actually suggested a Meta-Jira as well, but it was decided against for now).
Anyway, I agree that there should be some way for everyone to communicate outside of the tracker; this is mostly a community effort after all. I'll run it by some of the other mods and see what we can come up with...

> Issues in translations
Mostly can be handled at crowdin.net; if it can't, it's probably a bug.
> textures
Right, they're not bugs; these are subjective aesthetic issues. This is definitely not the place.
> Issues in game balance
If these are severe, just label them as bugs. If they're not severe, they probably don't belong here.
> just plain annoying things, such as bat noises
Again, if it's severe (in this case physically uncomfortable), label it as a bug. If it's not severe, it doesn't belong here.
I don't know if Features/Improvements will be added in the future, but for now we just have Bugs. It's not an omission, it's set up that way intentionally. Enough effort goes into managing duplicate, incomplete, and invalid bug reports already; add an endless stream of feature suggestions and RFEs to that and you're looking at an almost unmanageable situation. We're working on ways to improve things, but at this point I don't think we want to add that functionality (not that it's my decision to make, anyway).
