When I got melon seeds in the nether, I planted the seeds, and it would dissapear and it would give me 1-3 melon seeds, I even put bonemeal on and it still did the same thing. lastly, and it happens in creative and survival

Did you do that near form the water?, because if you do a melon farm with no water resources, the melon stem will dissappear.
