MCPE-28482No license for PE 1.2.3.6
Since October 4th my Minecraft PE app that a purchased on Amazon a long while back had been rendered useless. I now get a message that I don't own a license and need to purchase from a store. I've been in contact with both Amazon and Mojang. Amazon has gone above and beyond but can't figure it out. Mojang has given me the run around and their customer service is a joke. The closest thing to a fix I've gotten is to uninstall/reinstall. But that only works one time. When I get off the app and try to reuse it, it's the same message. This all started after the last update, so the app that I bought legally hasn't worked for almost a month. And the only "fixes" I can find I'm pretty sure are not legal so it's not a path I want to take.

Hey, I can tell you, that they are fixing this in 1.2.5.
Check this for confirmation. (Beta means the test before the release of the update.)

Thank you Kristina. This is the most helpful information I've received in a month's time. Now if I could get an ETA for the 1.2.5 official release, I'd be a lot happier. Or at least more satisfied. Crossing my fingers that it's soon and that it actually fixes the problem. Mojang may also want to inform their own customer service of this. That crew is completely clueless and rather useless.

Mega Spud, the supposed "duplicate" you suggest is not a duplicate at all as the report you're referring to is for a previous version of Minecraft PE and not the latest version.
Not to mention it's not "resolved" as the problem still exists because 1.2.5 is not an available update yet.
