It will NOT leave the door.
When I am typing a sign, and I write some text that for some reason needs an apostrophe, all the text on that line switches to a weird font.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Place a sign.
2. Write something on the sign.
3. Put an apostrophe after what you just wrote.
EDIT: Also works with quotation marks.
Make sure this is enabled In settings.

So I've been to the AppStore, sat there a few minutes refreshing, and no update has popped up. I've gone back onto Minecraft, and it's still at 1.

This isn’t a glitch, every time you collect an item, it does this every time multiple blocks of one type are collected.
Isn’t it an option in settings to limit world size or not?
Edit- I just checked, go into video, and scroll all the way down.

Why are you still in the beta? The update has been released for a long time.
Steps to update:
1) Go to My Games & Apps
2) Launch Xbox Insider Hub
3) Go to Insider Content
4) Click on Minecraft
5) Click Manage
6) Select Unenroll
7) Uninstall Minecraft
8) Reinstall Minecraft
Once you follow these steps, all of your worlds will still be there, and you should be on version 1.2.3. I'm not sure if this update fixes this bug, but its worth trying.

A trapdoor to to get to the second floor a total of 3 Oak Wood doors,
Don’t know wut you mean by this, the second floor is incomplete, it doesn’t have a ceiling so yes, light is shining through the trapdoor.
I can’t see the villages right away, but if I walk quite a bit, I can find some. I think there are 4 villages total, no lingering villagers.
Oh, about the doors. Two of the doors is a double door, (2 side by side).
There were four, but everytime I opened the one separating the rooms, the game had huge frame rate drops.
So I destroyed it, it kept the major frame rate drops until I restarted the world. Hope this helps. Ask more questions if you need to.
Is your Xbox connected to the WiFi?
Go to Settings, then to Profile, and make sure “Use Cellular Data” is enabled.

I'm the settings, you can make the Xbox One your home Xbox. The Xbox will share the purchases of the account of which you set the home Xbox on.
This is due to a new feature added by Apple. In settings, go to General, then Keyborads, and turn off Smart Punctuation.
What are the specifications for your PC?

There are different developers for Java, then different ones for Bedrock. I know, i have been waiting for a couple new features too. (I'm waiting for turtles.)
Doesn't seem to affect iPad Pro 9.7 inch on iOS 11.3 running Minecraft version 1.2.15.
Could it be that your iOS isn't updated?
I know that you probably can't update to the newest iOS because of it only being a iPhone 6, but is this problem only reoccurring on low-end devices?
Go into your settings, go to Keyboard Settings, and turn off Smart Punctuation and see if this problem still happens.
Did you try turning off Smart Punctuation?
Did you delete Minecraft and reinstall after leaving?
Also, don't close the application before it is done leaving the beta program.
