Half-Block prevents chest from opening
I just upgraded to the new version of Minecraft for the Xbox and noticed this problem. It's a difference between the way the Xbox One Edition used to function and the way the Xbox Live version functions now.
We used to be able to put a half block or on top of a chest and it would still open.
Many people have done this in their chest room designs so they can stack chests all the way to the ceiling, but the ceiling was nice and uniform above the chests. People have also used upside down stairs to create a wall directly above chests, but allowing them to still open.
Converting my world from the previous version of Minecraft for the Xbox into the new version of Minecraft for the Xbox, broke this functionality on many of my chests.
Upside down stairs still work, but half-blocks don't.

After searching everywhere for the version number, I restarted the game and found it on the start page.

I'm not sure what category (version) this should be catalogued under. Someone with admin rights can move this into the proper group.
Issues found on Minecraft Bedrock go to the Bedrock tracker
Yeah... I didn't even realize this was a Bedrock version. I was kind of hoping one of the admins can move this over there. But I suspect I'll have to just submit it again.

Checking back in on this today. I haven't been playing Minecraft in quite a while, due to the fact that so many of my structures use this feature, making them unusable. Often, this was used in buildings with multiple floors and the material above the half block is the floor of the upper level (or even water in some cases) so it's not practical to raise the roof of all those structures.
Is there any intention to fix this and make it behave the same way all previous versions did?
