That happened to me too when I first opened the Achievements screen after updated to 1.4.0
I just had this happen to me. I'm playing the Nintendo Switch version and I haven't even gotten any kelp at all. I was eating nothing but mushroom stew since I'm in an area where mushrooms are plentiful and the achievement popped.
Hey, Mojang people, this is a duplicate of my bug report, not vice versa.
Yeah, this achievement is broken. It makes for an easy 20 gamerscore, but it's not supposed to pop that easily. I ate exactly two pieces of kelp within an in-game hour and it popped. That's far short of the three days it should take.
I think this is because you're doing what it said. If you've ever survived three minecraft days without eating anything (probably because it was on peaceful or you were afk) this would technically count.
