Are you sure you're having this problem in 1.9.0 and not in the 1.11.0.4 Beta? This is a widespread problem with the Beta (see
MCPE-42953) but hasn't been reported before in 1.9.0.

Same happens with me, but my one is 1.11.0.4 :/
I thought you were using beta version that doesn't happens on my Xbox one and Android its seems worked for me.
